  13. WinSpell is a Windows spelling supervisor which can check your
  14. spelling three different ways.
  15.  
  16.     1) WinSpell acts in real-time, as you type.  While typing,
  17.        WinSpell will notify you as soon as you misspell a word.
  18.  
  19.     2) WinSpell spell checks files such as Windows Write files and ASCII
  20.        text files.
  21.  
  22.     3) WinSpell checks the spelling of information copied to the
  23.        Clipboard.
  24.  
  25. These three modes of WinSpell allow you to check your spelling in
  26. virtually any Windows application, including DOS based applications
  27. running in a window, spreadsheets, telecommunication packages, etc.
  28.

  58. register WinSpell if you use it past the initial evaluation period.

  62. In order to install this evaluation version:
  63.  
  64.   PD SELECTIONS NOTE: COPY ONTO HARD DISK FIRST, AS THERE IS NOT ROOM ON
  65.   THE FLOPPY DISK TO EXPAND THE FILES.
  66.  
  67.   1)  Copy the files onto your hard disk. Then expand the (compressed) 
  68.       archive file by just typing:
  69.  
  70.          wspell
  71.  
  72.   2)  Run the Installation script (batch file) from floppy:
  73.  
  74.          install [drive:]path
  75.  
  76.       where drive represents the hard disk on which WinSpell should
  77.       be installed and path represents the directory in which WinSpell
  78.       should be placed.
  79.  
  80.       Note that if you expand the archive file to your hard disk, your
  81.       installation is essentially complete.  You need not run the
  82.       INSTALL.BAT script.  Simply add the directory in which you
  83.       placed WinSpell to your DOS PATH.  See your DOS manual for details
  84.       on the PATH environmental variable.
  85.  
  86.   3)  Follow remaining instructions as specified by the installation
  87.       script.

  89. The following is an explanation for each file:
  90.  
  91.     WINSPELL.EXE - WinSpell's main executable.  This is the file that
  92.                    you will want to add to your program manager in
  93.                    Windows, or have Windows load via the "load=" option
  94.                    in WIN.INI.
  95.  
  96.                    WINSPELL.EXE is required for proper operation.
  97.  
  98.     HOOK.DLL     - WinSpell's dynamic link library.
  99.  
  100.                    HOOK.DLL is required for proper operation.

  102.     WINSPELL.HLP - WinSpell's Help file for use in Windows Help.
  103.  
  104.                    WINSPELL.HLP is not required for proper operation.

  143. One note; a minor bug has been identified in the demonstration version of
  144. WinSpell which causes a (completely harmless) error message which informs
  145. you that there has been a file read error if you type a word that is not 
  146. in the common dictionary during a file or Clipboard check.  This bug does 
  147. not exist in the registered version of WinSpell.  What the error message 
  148. tells you is that the word is not spelled correctly as far as the common 
  149. dictionary is concerned.  You will need to check that word later after 
  150. the file or clipboard check is complete.
